Vinicius, the very bad news

Vinicius may miss out on Real Madrid’s most important match of the season.

Real Madrid conceded a late equalizer on Sunday night, much to the frustration of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, but they will have the opportunity to take firm control of the title race if they beat Girona on Saturday. Carlo Ancelotti could well face fitness problems for this match.

According to journalist Arancha Rodriguez, the good news is that Eduardo Camavinga will be ready for this match. The Frenchman received a blow which left him limping at the final whistle, but his presence is not in question.

Uncertain for the big match

On the other hand, the cases of Vinicius Junior and Antonio Rudiger are less clear. Rudiger, who was not selected due to a thigh contusion on Sunday, is optimistic about his participation. The Brazilian is also doubtful, with his spine and neck problem described as “serious”. However, its participation is not excluded.

Vinicius was due to start the match against Atlético on Sunday, but he abandoned the warm-up after feeling pain in his neck. The fact that he warmed up briefly during the match and stayed on the bench instead of leaving the squad is a positive sign. Girona are looking into their own availability issues for the weekend, with two players and their manager likely to be suspended.
