The clash at the top of the Premier League between Arsenal and Liverpool allowed the Gunners to come back to two points behind the Liverpool leader after a 3-1 victory on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium.

The Premier League title race is taking a big turn three months before the finale. Arsenal managed to beat Liverpool, a leader in great form recently (and who had only lost one league match this season), on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium (3-1). Enough to allow the Gunners to come back to within two points of the Reds, while Manchester City can do the same by winning against Brentford on Monday evening.

Mikel Arteta’s men were there collectively and mentally to win in front of their home crowd. Buyako Saka opened the scoring after a chance from Kai Havertz repelled by Alisson Becker (14th). If Luis Diaz provoked Gabriel’s csc for the equalizer before half-time (45th + 3), the Brazilian goalkeeper of the Reds completely ruined his team in the second half.

Konaté sees red

Gabriel Martinelli took advantage of an incomprehensible error between Alisson and Virgil Van Dijk to restore the advantage to the North Londoners (67th) and, at the end of the match, after the exclusion of Ibrahima Konaté for a second warning (88th) , Leandro Trossard escaped on the left to score between the legs of the Liverpool goalkeeper (92nd).

LFC, with a disillusioned Jürgen Klopp on the sidelines, will try to revive against Burnley next weekend, while Arsenal will play a derby against West Ham, who have just won 3-0 against Manchester United.
