It is with a serious facelift that Olympique de Marseille is approaching the rest of this 2023-24 campaign. After a very disappointing first leg, the Marseille club was very active during this winter transfer window. And this period could have visible consequences from this Sunday evening, for the clash against Olympique Lyonnais at the end of the 20th day of Ligue 1 (kick-off at 8:45 p.m.).

If Gennaro Gattuso has found suitable entertainment in recent weeks, the men’s choices will be scrutinized. In terms of good news, the Italian technician will be able to count on numerous returns, such as those of the Moroccans Assedine Ounahi and Amine Harit. The two Atlas Lions could be thrown back into the deep end, knowing that Geoffrey Kondogbia is the victim of a muscle problem.

New faces launched into the deep end

The OM infirmary remains well stocked since Pape Gueye, Bilal Nadir and obviously Valentin Rongier remain on the sidelines. If the executives Aubameyang, Veretout, Gigot, Balerdi and Pau Lopes are therefore expected at kick-off, the OM eleven could be completed by a few unusual faces. Merlin is expected for his premiere, while Moumbagna could have playing time.

The expected lineup for OM: Lopez – Meïté, Balerdi, Gigot, Merlin – Ounahi, Onana, Harit – Ndiaye, Aubameyang, Luis Henrique.
