Having just celebrated his 34th birthday, Toni Kroos plans to make his return to the German national team in the run-up to Euro 2024 which will be played in his country.
Toni Kroos, 34 years old since January 9, must see that his Real Madrid teammate Luka Modric is getting there at 38 years old… The German midfielder retired internationally after the last Euro in 2021, after 106 matches with the Nationalmannschaft (for a World Cup won in 2014).
But as indicated The Athletic, the player plans to return to service with his country’s selection to participate in Euro 2024 which will be played on German territory. It must be said that Kroos is in good shape. He has played in all 21 La Liga matches for Real Madrid this season (for one goal and 7 assists) as well as five of the six Champions League matches.
Nagelsmann has choices
Now led by Julian Nagelsmann, Germany will face Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland, respectively on June 14, 19 and 23. The young strategist could therefore be able to count on Toni Kroos in addition to Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and Ilkay Gündogan.
