This is one of the rumors that will punctuate the coming months until the summer transfer window. Alphonso Davies is one of Real Madrid’s main targets for next summer. The Canadian full-back from Bayern Munich ends his contract in 2025 and remains non-renewed, despite the good offer from the Bavarian team which was presented to his agent. He wants to be at the top of the team’s pay scale and his flirtation with Real Madrid even earned him a slap on the wrist from Thomas Tuchel. In the interview given to the German media KickerAlphonso Davies had good words for his current club and took the opportunity to defend himself against the accusations:
“I feel very comfortable here, I play for an incredible team, one of the best in Europe. I stay focused and give everything for the team and for our supporters. In 2020, no one really had me on their list. I was relatively unknown and I kept my word. After that, the expectations for me were high. I think in general I did it justice, but of course not always, not in every match. There are very few players who really manage to do this throughout their career. My style of play has changed a bit since then. A little less tricks, a little less dribbling, a little less risk, but today. I understand things better than I did four years ago. Of course, today I have more experience, but I am still young and I want to continue learning and improving.”
