It was a transfer completed for next summer, and already made official by Bayern Munich. Bryan Zaragoza, 22, would join them for the 2024-2025 season and thus bring a little variety and depth to the squad for the winger position, held for years by Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry. But now, bad luck has passed, and the Bavarian club is today deprived of Gnabry, and especially of Coman, absent for at least 2 months.
As a result, Bayern decided to recruit an offensive element to compensate for these absences. And why complicate life? According to joint information from Bild And Sky Germany, Bayern plans to bring forward the recruitment of Zaragoza to this winter, within 2 days! Information confirmed by the Bavarian sports director, Christoph Freund.
Bayern will have to put their hand in their pocket
“We are in talks to anticipate an agreement with Bryan Zaragoza in the last days of January. He will be our player this summer but we are trying to see if possible to bring him to Bayern earlier. Remember that the Munich club paid €12 million (+ €4 million in possible bonuses) to Granada to buy its attacking midfielder from next June. It would therefore be necessary to renegotiate with the Spanish club to complete an arrival in January.
And this could turn out to be more complicated than expected, since Granada is fighting to stay in La Liga. It is not by losing one of its best players (author of 6 goals in La Liga) that Granada would give itself every chance of achieving this. Bayern Munich will have to put their hands in their pockets, and more than expected, to succeed and satisfy Thomas Tuchel, always demanding in the transfer window.
