The Interior Ministry has published a decree to prohibit the travel of Marseille supporters to Lyon on Sunday, during the clash between OL and OM.
The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, has just banned the movement of Marseille supporters at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, scene of the next Olympico between OL and OM, scheduled for Sunday evening at the end of the 20th day of Ligue 1. A regrettable measure but far from surprising after the serious incidents which punctuated the first leg at the Vélodrome, on October 29.
“A real and serious risk of clashes between supporters of the two clubs”, is advanced in the decree, which adds: “On Sunday February 4, 2024 from 00:00 to midnight, individual or collective travel, by any means, of any person claiming to be a supporter of Olympique de Marseille or behaving as such, is prohibited between the municipalities of the department Bouches-du-Rhône, on the one hand, and the municipalities of Décines-Charpieu, Meyzieu and Lyon (Rhône), on the other hand. »
Replayed on December 6, the first leg between Marseillais and Lyonnais turned in favor of Ciel et Blanc, who won 3-0 in front of their supporters.
