Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is likely to make his return to competition before the end of the season.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed during his latest media intervention that Eder Militao and Thibaut Courtois are back in training.

Both players suffered anterior cruciate ligament injuries early in the season. Unavailability until the end of the exercise was feared, but it may ultimately be that they will be operational during the home stretch of the campaign.

Ancelotti confirmed this information: “Both players have a chance to play matches this season. Their recovery is going very well. The medical staff doesn’t want to force them, but they are doing very well. They train individually on the field. By February they will have been out for six months and this type of injury takes six, eight to ten months and I think they will both be back before the end of the season.”

He also said about Militao: “After six months and with this type of injury we will see how he feels on the pitch. After 7-8 months we can think he can come back.”
