Less than three weeks before facing Paris Saint-Germain, in the round of 16 of the Champions League, Real Sociedad is not doing well. With only one victory acquired in five matches, the Basque team hoped to revive against Rayo Vallecano, 13th in Liga. Real Sociedad remains 6th, before a trip to leader Girona. For its part, Rayo falls to 13th place before facing Atlético de Madrid.
