For the second time in a row in the league, OL lost to Rennes (2-3) this Friday evening, at the opening of the 19th day of Ligue 1.

Olympique Lyonnais is not cured. After stringing together three victories in a row in Ligue 1 before the winter break, Les Gones have fallen back into their ways since the start of the year. Defeated in Le Havre two weeks ago (3-1), Pierre Sage’s men fell again against Stade Rennais (2-3), this Friday evening at home, in the opening match of the 19th day of the League 1.

At the end of a disastrous first act, thehe Lyonnais returned to the locker room under the bronca of Groupama Stadium. Initially consistent, the Rhone residents sank after the opening score of their former player, Martin Terrier (0-1, 22nd). Untenable, Désiré Doué made the break for the Bretons (0-2, 36th), before Terrier scored a double (0-3, 41st).

The Lyon reaction was not enough

Yes, but the Rennes slowed down in the second half and could have paid dearly for it. The Lyonnais returned to the game thanks to Henrique (1-3, 57th), before Alexandre Lacazette completely revived the suspense (2-3, 78th). Les Gones pushed at the end of the match to equalize, in vain. The gap was too big to make up for OL, who remain in 16th place in the ranking. For its part, Rennes moved up to 9th place.
