Olympique Lyonnais welcomes Stade Rennais for the 19th day of Ligue 1, this Friday (9 p.m.). Here is the expected line-up for the Breton club.

After a chaotic first part of the season, Stade Rennais started its return phase perfectly by signing a very encouraging success against OGC Nice, runner-up to Paris Saint-Germain (2-0). A promising result confirmed by fairly consistent content during the clash of the round of 16 of the Coupe de France against Olympique de Marseille, last Sunday.

But Julien Stéphan’s men must do it again against another stronghold of French football. Traveling to Lyon for an enticing display at the opening of this 19th day of Ligue 1, the Bretons could rely on their new animation to try to trap the Gones and thus confirm their status as the bête noire of OL in recent seasons.

The new certainties of Rennes

Stéphan could thus opt for a 4-4-2 pattern with the Terrier-Kalimuendo tandem at the forefront of the attack. Other strong men are expected in the midfield, starting with Bourigeaud, in clear recovery of form, or Le Fée, who is gradually regaining sensations. In defense, Théate and Truffert are also expected to start this match in the second half of the table.

The expected line-up for Rennes : Mandanda – G. Doué, Belocian, Theate, Truffert – Bourigeaud, Le Fée, Santamaria, D. Doué (or Blas) – Terrier, Kalimuendo.
