After Barça’s elimination in the Copa del Rey, an FC Barcelona player was the victim of racist insults on social networks.

Scorer against Bilbao on Wednesday, Lamine Yamal could not prevent the elimination of FC Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey. The young Blaugranas winger may have regrets because, although he was very restless on his side, he missed a few opportunities which could have changed the course of the match. But after leaving the field in tears, the 16-year-old prodigy had to endure what far too many players endure, especially in Spain.

Yamal victim of racist insults

On his Instagram account, the Spanish player received many comments on his last publication, which dated Sunday after Barça’s victory against Betis Sevilla. If some are at the limit of reasonable – “Messi wouldn’t have missed, I don’t care if you’re 16. You are not playing for free, you are a professional” -, others have once again crossed the limits. Yamal was targeted by insults, including several of a racist nature. According to information from Sportthe Catalan club intends to take measures and initiate proceedings against the authors of these hateful messages.
