Olympique Lyonnais welcomes Stade Rennais for the 19th day of Ligue 1, this Friday (9 p.m.). Here is the expected line-up for the Rhone club.

It is a vengeful Lyon team which challenges Stade Rennais in the opening match of the 19th day of Ligue 1, this Friday evening (kick-off at 9 p.m.). Surprised by Le Havre two weeks ago, Pierre Sage’s men stopped their series of three consecutive victories which had allowed them to escape from the red zone before the winter break.

Water has flowed under the bridges since then. And if Lyon punched its ticket for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France final without shining, it’s a small headache that will await Pierre Sage this Friday evening.

A real headache for Pierre Sage

Faced with Rennes who have a big offensive strike force, the OL coach will have several possible options. Return to a 4-man defense, or concoct a 5-man system because of current absences. O’Brien and Caleta-Car, expelled from Le Havre, will be suspended. But Sage can also count on the integration of its winter reinforcements, such as Adryelson and Fofana, who started under their new colors for the first time against Bergerac (2-1).

In this completely remodeled eleven, certain executives are expected from the outset. Lacazette, Cherki, Caqueret and even Lovren should start this clash well.

The expected line-up for OL : Lopes – Adryelson, Lovren, O’Brien – Mata, Caqueret, Tolisso, Henrique – Fofana, Lacazette, Cherki (or Orban).
