Arbitration continues to fuel debate in the Spanish capital. This Thursday, Mundo Deportivo reports to us that Real Madrid is trying to put pressure on the referee who will be blowing the whistle during his trip to Las Palmas for the 22nd day of La Liga, namely Soto Grado. According to the Spanish media, the dispute between the two parties is not new because the Merengue team accuses, via its official channel, the Iberian official of having systematically harmed the club during previous seasons “during which he did not allow, on more than one occasion, to fight for the title”.

At a time when Real Madrid is leading a crusade against him, the main party recently defended himself by emphasizing that the videos produced by the club’s channel were not intended “than promoting hatred against referees” during a press conference given on the sidelines of the Spanish Super Cup final against FC Barcelona on January 14. Enough to add fuel to the fire on the other side of the Pyrenees, a few days after a controversy broke out following Real Madrid’s narrow success against Almeria last Sunday.
