At 37 years old, Olivier Giroud could well participate in the fourth Euro of his career (after 2012, 2016 and 2021) with theFrench team. Always efficient with theAC Milan (11 goals, 8 assists this season), the top scorer in the history of the Blues still has a special place in the team coached by Didier Deschamps and could be part of the adventure in Germany in June, a tournament which could be his last with the Tricolores.
An extension in Milan?
At the club, his future is currently uncertain since his contract expires in June and he has not yet extended with the Rossoneri. During an interview given to the Gazzetta dello Sportthe former Arsenal player has not hidden his desire to stay in Lombardy again. “I don’t know yet what will happen in the future, but I know that I feel good here and that at AC Milan I have done great things. Our story is a love story. With the club, we have not yet discussed the subject of extension, but we will see and we will decide later”confided the 2018 world champion.
But if the Milanese leaders did not offer him to stay, Giroud does not close himself to other opportunities abroad, notably in MLS where he is announced. “There are other countries too. At the end of the season there will be more opportunities and I will make my decision. As a footballer and as a father”he added.
