Anthony Martial to miss next 10 weeks for Manchester United after groin surgery

It’s getting worse for Anthony Martial. The former Monegasque, used very little this season by Erik Ten Hag and who would be taken aback by the Dutch coach at Manchester Unitedwill miss the next 10 weeks with Manchester United after undergoing groin surgery.

Long-term injury for Martial

The French striker has not played for United since the 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on December 9 and is now set for an even longer spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery. Martial has endured a long and disappointing run of injuries since joining the Red Devils from Monaco in 2015.

The Frenchman is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season and is expected to leave on a free transfer as he has not been offered a new lease. United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Martial during the current window as getting rid of his £250,000-a-week salary would give them greater leeway to sign players while still adhering to spending rules of the Premier League.
