The Irish coach was dismissed from his position after the elimination of the Black Stars in the first round of CAN 2023.
A first head falls in Ghana. Chris Hughton is no longer Ghana coach. Appointed in March 2023, the Irish coach was sacked on Tuesday evening by the Ghana Football Federation (FGF).
This decision follows the elimination of the Black Stars in the first round of CAN 2023, in Ivory Coast. Ghana finished third in their group, with two draws and one defeat in three matches.

Hughton will therefore have spent less than a year at the head of the Ghanaian selection. His record is 4 wins, 4 draws and 4 defeats in 12 matches. The Ghanaian Federation has not yet announced the name of its future coach.
