A return of Benzema to Madrid cannot be ruled out, his replacement having been completely satisfied.
Joselu was recruited for one season by Real Madrid, but the success of his signing is such that it is impossible not to see him do at least one more season, as highlighted by journalist Marco Ruiz in AS this morning.
Joselu left to stay
The whole transfer was a triumph for Madrid. The Madrilenians were able to recover the 33-year-old player for free to fill the void left by Karim Benzema in the squad. This idea was widely mocked, but Joselu showed himself to be hardworking, humble and efficient. He scored a goal every 114 minutes, mostly coming off the bench.
His supporting play has been excellent for players like Vinicius and Rodrygo, and everyone at Madrid is delighted with his impact. In the long term, Endrick should arrive from Brazil and become the team’s main striker, but in the meantime, Joselu is quite capable of replacing him for another year or two.
