The leaders of AS Saint-Etienne and those responsible for the capital of Forez must say to themselves that the tragedy has not gone far. The two giant screens of the Stéphane stadium crashed into pieces on the empty stands.
Nothing to do with the serious riots which affected Saint-Etienne like other cities in France, but on Friday, those responsible for the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium had a shock. Indeed, the day after the storms that hit the city, the two giant screens, installed six months ago, were found completely exploded with many huge pieces in the stands. These new screens had been installed to meet both the request of ASSE, but also and above all of the organizers of the Rugby World Cup this fall, and the 2024 Olympic Games, the Cauldron hosting matches of these two competitions. Obviously, the installation did not withstand the shock due to the weather conditions. What necessarily give retroactive chills when we know that Geoffroy-Guichard has often been very largely filled in recent months.

The Greens also placed the authorities before their responsibilities, because the stadium does not belong to ASSE.
