Senegal coach Aliou Cissé had to be rushed to hospital after the victory over Cameroon.
Aliou Cissé (47 years old) fell ill on Friday evening and was transported to the Saint-Joseph Moscati Catholic hospital in Yamoussoukro. He would still be there, 24 hours after the incident.
The Senegalese are worried about Cissé
The former Senegal captain received treatment and had to spend the night in hospital due to his condition. According to Wiw Sport, the coach fell ill moments after the post-match press conference and was quickly rushed to the nearest medical center.
Cissé is expected to join the team on Saturday, in order to prepare for his team’s third match in the African Cup of Nations. A match planned against Guinea. A duel which will have at stake 1e chicken place.
After leading Senegal to the title of African champion in 2021, the former PSG hopes to offer a new continental title to the Lions of Téranga.
The victory over Cameroon, five-time world champions, ensures the Senegalese qualify for the knockout phase of the competition even before the third round of pools.
