Laval takes on Nantes, Le Puy takes on Dunkirk

The round of 16 of the Coupe de France played this Saturday gave rise to two big surprises.

If OL, Nice, Monaco and Brest have enforced the logic of the hierarchy, this is not the case for Nantes, although it has been a double finalist in the Coupe de France over the last two years.

The Canaries, at home, suffered the law of Laval, currently fourth in Ligue 2 (0-1). The fault of a goal from Tchokounté conceded at the hour of play (60e).

Surprise also at Puy-en-Velay where the locals, residents of National 2, eliminated Dunkirk, who play in Ligue 2. A double from Karamoko (14e32e) got the better of the USDK, which reduced the gap in vain by Courtet (77e) after playing for half an hour while outnumbered.

Finally, note the qualification of Valenciennes at the expense of Paris FC in a 100% Ligue 2 shock. If Kebbal opened the scoring for the Parisians (10e), VA turned the tide thanks to Foe Ondoa (15e) and Masson (48e).
