The Egyptian federation has announced the absence of Mohamed Salah, injured in the thigh during the African Cup of Nations.
Mohamed Salah, Egypt and Liverpool now know what to expect. Out injured against Ghana (2-2), the captain of the Pharaohs will be absent for at least a week.
“Mo Salah’s injury, a strained hamstring, will cause him to miss two matches of the African Cup of Nations against Cape Verde, and the round of 16 in the event of qualification”communicated the Egyptian federation Friday evening.
Second in its group, Egypt must validate its qualification for the round of 16 against Cape Verde, which is already assured of first place and will have nothing to play for in this match.
