José Mourinho is no longer the coach of AS Roma.
Following a poor series of results, notably a defeat against Lazio (1-0) and another against AC Milan (3-1), the leaders of AS Roma decided to part ways with José Mourinho and of his staff. Currently, the club from the Italian capital only occupies ninth place in Serie A.
“We thank José on behalf of all of us at AS Roma for the passion and commitment he has shown since his arrival at the Giallorossi. We will always have fond memories of his leadership, but we believe that, in the best interests of the Club, immediate change is necessary. We wish José and his colleagues the best for the future”, we can read in a press release published by the Louve club. In recent hours, however, his communication suggested an opposite trend.
L’AS Roma announces that José Mourinho is his technical collaborator to launch the Club with immediate effect.
Subsequent adjustments will be made to the new technical guidance of the Prima Squadra will be communicated briefly.

José Mourinho became coach of AS Roma in 2021. With this team, the Portuguese technician won the first edition of the Europa Conference League in 2022. This makes him the first coach to have won the Champions League, the Europa League and the Europa Conference League.
