Manchester United consider making exceptional offer for Karim Benzema, with Al-Ittihad striker keen to return to Europe

Spanish reports now claim that Benzema is looking to return to Europe, with Fichajes stating that three teams in particular are looking to make a move for the Frenchman this winter. Real Madrid would thus be ready to “welcome” the return of the striker to strengthen Carlo Ancelotti’s options in attack.
Lyon, where he spent 12 years before joining Real in 2009, are also said to be interested in the hope their former child prodigy can turn around the club’s season, which is battling relegation to Ligue 1. However, United could be considered as the most intriguing option of the three, with Erik ten Hag hoping Benzema could be a “valuable reinforcement” to strengthen the team and provide competition for Rasmus Hojlund in attack.
