The Elephants did not miss their debut at the CAN, defeating Guinea-Bissau this Saturday.

To raise the curtain, the host country of the competition won 2-0 on the lawn of the Alassane Ouattara stadium in Abidjan.

It was the former Lensois Seko Fofana who put his team on the right track (4e), before the break goal signed Jean-Philippe Krasso shortly before the hour mark (58e).

Jean-Louis Gasset’s men were full of confidence before again challenging Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea in this group stage.
