Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea manager, has expressed his opinion regarding the situation of Thiago Silva.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino declined to comment on speculation surrounding his players.
Pochettino washes his hands of it
Pochettino was asked about the future of veteran Thiago Silva. Although he made his admiration for Silva clear, he admitted he wasn’t sure who would stay or go at the end of the season.
He told reporters this week: “At the moment we are not speaking with the players. I don’t think the club is talking. For now, it’s mainly a time to work together to try to perform and get the results we want.”
A speech which was followed by actions this Saturday since Cheslea won the derby which pitted him against Fulham (1-0). A success which propelled the London team to 8e place, 9 points from the Big Four.
Overall, “Poche” assures that he does not want to get involved in matters that involve the player and management : “It is up to the player and the club to decide what is best for both parties and the future. At the moment, I don’t think that’s the case.”
