The Marseille club announces in an official press release this Saturday evening the departure of a new executive.

The Marseille transfer window is playing out at all levels this winter. While the departure of Brazilian full-back Renan Lodi seems certain – against a Saudi package of 20 million euros and more – it is behind the scenes of the Marseille club that a movement took shape this Saturday.

Like Javier Ribalta, David Friio or Matthieu Louis-Jean in recent weeks, Pedro Iriondo has decided to pack up. Member of the board in charge of strategy and development, this close friend of Pablo Longoria had a very bad experience last September of the stormy episode of the meeting with the heads of the supporters’ associations. A clash which then precipitated the departure of coach Marcelino.

Arriving in 2021 at Olympique de Marseille, Pedro Iriondo leaves the club after having notably contributed to the implementation of strategic and structuring projects, to the creation of the Thirteenth Man program, or worked on the development of the women’s sectionwe can read in the press release issued by the Olympian management. Through its president, Pablo Longoria, OM would like to thank Pedro for his work and his investment and wish him good luck in the rest of his career. »
