For the resumption of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich quietly won against Hoffenheim on Friday evening (3-0). A victory in which Bavarian midfielder Joshua Kimmich (28 years old) participated. The German international (82 caps / 6 goals) was also one of the attractions of this meeting on the Bavarian side, since he remains at the end of his contract in the summer of 2025 and whose future is still uncertain. Several European teams are attentive to his situation.

Among them, Paris Saint-Germain tried to enlist him this winter, as part of an exchange with Nordi Mukiele. The versatile midfielder, capable of playing as a full-back, greatly appeals to the Parisian management. But as explained on our site, the chances of success in this operation are minimal, since neither the Bavarian management, nor Thomas Tuchel, wishes to part with his midfielder and Bavarian locker room executive right now.

Joshua Kimmich awaits call from Bayern Munich

Faced with this situation, Joshua Kimmich wanted to speak out. At the microphone of Sky Sports Germanythe Bavarian midfielder answered questions about his future: “Actually, I only focus on Bayern Munich. For me, my future was not a subject at all this winter., he explained. And while the German media claims that there are still no formal discussions between Bayern Munich and their 28-year-old player, Kimmich then opened the door to a contract renewal.

“I think we will meet one day and the club will come to me. Everything that is discussed will be between us… and obviously not with you”, he added. Also courted in the Premier League, and on the side of Barça and Real Madrid, Joshua Kimmich would also be tempted by a departure from Bayern Munich if he does not find an agreement with his club, but that would rather be for the summer next. It remains to be seen whether Paris Saint-Germain will remain in the race.
