In order to put an end to its problems in the offensive sector, Arsenal is looking to sign a former Merengue during this transfer window.

Faced with the current poor form of Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus, the Gunners hope to strengthen their attack line during the month of January to win the Premier League title which has eluded them since 2004.

Arteta wants a compatriot for his attack

Getafe striker Borja Mayoral is the subject of serious interest from Arsenal. The Sun claims that the London club has made an offer of 25 million euros to recruit the former Iberian international hopeful this January.

Arsenal are hoping to find a compromise with Getafe, who are demanding a lot more money. The Spanish club is indeed ready to sell Mayoral, but only for a sum of around 45 million euros.

A Real failure at Arsenal?

Mayoral, now 26, has scored 12 league goals for Getafe since the start of the current financial year. He has already had experience abroad, with Roma. Finally, it is important to note that he is a pure Real product. With the Merengue, he played 33 matches and scored 7 goals (between 2015 and 2019).
