Anthony Martial is reportedly refusing to leave Manchester United this month, despite interest from across Europe and Saudi Arabia.
According to The Athletic, Martial rejected offers from Marseille, Fenerbahçe and several clubs in Saudi Arabia this month. The 28-year-old is out of contract this summer and can agree terms with a foreign club, but he has not yet reached an agreement.
Martial has scored just two goals in 19 appearances in all competitions this season, and United are said to have no plans to trigger the option that would allow him to extend his lease for a further year. Instead, they are willing to let him leave for free at the end of the season, although it remains to be seen how many clubs will be willing to make an offer.
The former Monegasque went almost three years without completing 90 minutes of play and was on the verge of leaving on several occasions. He was loaned to Sevilla FC in 2022, but failed to establish himself in Spain. The French striker will look to finish the season on a high as he looks for a new club for the summer. The 28-year-old could be involved this weekend against Tottenham, although he has missed United’s last six matches due to a combination of illness and injury.
