Kylian Mbappé set a new record by scoring in Paris Saint-Germain’s victory over Toulouse in the Champions Trophy final on Wednesday.

After Lee Kang-in opened the scoring for Paris Saint-Germain in the third minute of the match, Mbappé doubled the advantage at halftime to seal the Champions Trophy title in favor of his club.

A record before a start?

The French striker’s goal against Toulouse was his 111th at the Parc des Princes, the most goals scored at the Parc des Princes by a player in history. Edinson Cavani previously held the record for the number of goals scored at the Parc des Princes, with 110 goals between 2013 and 2020.

The 25-year-old has entered the final six months of his contract with PSG and is tipped to leave the club this summer. While Real Madrid are the favorites to secure the star player’s signature, Liverpool have recently emerged as a potential candidate to sign the French star.
