I was constantly thinking about her and it was affecting me. I confided in my coach, Gérard Houllier, a great humanist. He told me to take a plane to join her a few days before the next match. I did it, came back the day before the match, played, and nobody knew. Today, this kind of story would be impossible. With social media and their excesses, it would have come out,” Rocheteau revealed.
