Messi wants to set an example
“I arrive at the same time as everyone else (from 7 a.m.). There are rules and fines. I must lead by example. It’s not because of the fine, but because I’m like that, I have to arrive one of the first”, assured the eight-time winner of the Ballon d’Or in an interview with Argentine media.
Messi therefore assured that he has always been irreproachable regarding the internal regulations within the clubs where he played. However, in Paris, he stood out by skipping an entire training session to fulfill a commitment with a sponsor in Saudi Arabia. An episode that he probably preferred to keep quiet.
At the moment, Messi does not have to train at all since the North American championship is at a standstill. MLS will not resume until next March and the former Parisian continues to enjoy time with his family.
