The Paris Saint-Germain coach is reportedly determined to keep Spanish international midfielder Carlos Soler.

Carlos Soler will not leave Paris Saint-Germain this winter. According to information from Fabrice Hawkins relayed by RMC Sport, the capital club’s coach Luis Enrique wishes to count on him for the rest of the season.

Soler, who arrived in Paris in September 2022, has failed to establish himself as an indisputable starter. He has played 14 matches in all competitions this season, including 13 in Ligue 1, for one goal and two assists.

However, Lucho believes that the former Valencia FC member is an essential element of his squad. He wants to give him playing time, without necessarily making him a starter in every match.

The Gijonais’ decision puts an end to the hopes of Atlético de Madrid, who were interested in the transfer of the Spanish midfielder. The native of Valencia under contract until June 2027 should therefore remain with the Parisian team and try to earn his place in the starting lineup.
