In search of one or more reinforcements for its offensive sector, Olympique Lyonnais would have taken action on the Dodi Lukebakio track. The Rhone club would have sent a first offer for the Belgian striker. A proposal that Hertha Berlin should consider insufficient.

Inactive in the first two weeks of the transfer window, Olympique Lyonnais is getting down to business. Not to mention the possible sales, in particular that on the right track of central defender Castello Lukeba to RB Leipzig, the club of John Textor could soon launch its recruitment. The recent seventh in Ligue 1 dreams of attracting American winger Christian Pulisic from Chelsea. A very audacious track and no doubt doomed to failure for financial reasons.

A first offer from OL?

A priori, Olympique Lyonnais will have more chances of obtaining the signature of Dodi Lukebakio. The versatile forward is unlikely to follow Hertha Berlin into the German second division. The Bundesliga bottom will try to transfer his player before the end of his contract in June 2024. A great opportunity to seize on the transfer market, hence the presence of renowned competitors on this file. We are indeed talking about an interest from Villarreal and Roma. In order to get ahead of them, Olympique Lyonnais have already sent an offer, announces the German media Kicker.

The source nevertheless specifies that the Rhone proposal remains below the 10 million euros claimed by Hertha Berlin. The approach of the French club should therefore not lead to an agreement. At least, assuming that offer was actually sent. Because for its part, Foot Mercato denies the information and ensures that Olympique Lyonnais has made no proposal for Dodi Lukebakio. The lead to the Belgium international is said to be put on hold for the time being. We can think that the management is waiting for its passage in front of the DNCG, scheduled for June 28, to know its room for maneuver.
