A Wednesday night face-off between PSG and AC Milan is on the horizon in the Champions League, offering Olivier Giroud the chance to reunite with his compatriot from the French national team, Kylian Mbappé. It seems the Rossoneri club has already planned to block the PSG star.
The PSG will have a lot at stake on Wednesday night when they host Milan AC for the 3rd match of the Champions League. After a heavy defeat at Newcastle in the previous match, the capital club will need to win to get back on track in their group, and Kylian Mbappé will undoubtedly be closely watched.
Mbappé, the number 1 threat
As the current top scorer for PSG with 9 goals in 10 matches in all competitions since the start of the season, Mbappé will be closely followed by his Milanese opponents in this showdown.
“We will defend against Mbappé as a team”
Speaking on Sunday to Canal Football Club, Olivier Giroud confirmed that AC Milan has a special plan for Mbappé: “We are well aware of their offensive strength because the front 3-4 are really talented players. So, we have to be careful of everyone, but especially of Kylian. I think we will defend against him as a team, that’s for sure.” The PSG striker has been duly warned.
