The transfer window has hit the ground running for PSG. As of yesterday, the opening day of the transfer market, the reigning French champion announced the arrival of Lucas Beraldo. The Brazilian defender is already training with his new teammates, before being joined next summer by another compatriot: Gabriel Moscardo. The latter is already the subject of a first problem, although he has not even signed his contract. The midfielder will have to undergo foot surgery and will miss the next three months of competition.

Nothing to upset his coming to France, however, even if this news is of course not pleasant. The 18-year-old has been seen at the PSG Campus in recent days but he will soon head to Qatar to be treated at the famous Aspetar clinic in Doha. His transfer has not been made official by the French club but in Brazil, it is already a certainty. The newly elected Corinthians president made his first speech in his new role, saying Moscardo was sold out by his predecessor, something he regrets.

New Corinthians president didn’t want to sell Moscardo

“From the start, we were against the sale. It is a reality and in certain meetings I have mentioned it. I was not in favor of this sale. Players trained here will forever be another income. It’s first a shirt but we make lace out of it. We want to keep them, let them earn their place then give us titles and increase in value. It sells at an incredible price”, still recognizes Augusto Melo. The Brazilian club holds 92.5% of the player’s rights and will receive around €18 million before possible bonuses which could rise to an additional €2 million.

“I had to participate in this negotiation, even if it was something we didn’t want, but, to give you an idea, if we didn’t accept, they would have gotten it later but cheaper”details the new leader, accusing his predecessor, Duilio Monteiro Alves, without naming him. “Why didn’t the managers increase Moscardo’s release clause during the contract renewal?” The sale of Moscardo, on the other hand, seemed obligatory for the future of a club in great difficulty. “From today, Corinthians will suffer the biggest management shock in history”promises Melo.
