Since his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar has had a series of setbacks off the field.
Neymar never stops talking about him, but not always for the right reasons. After leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer, the Brazilian striker joined Saudi club Al-Hilal for a record fee of €90 million. But his new adventure was quickly disrupted by an injury that occurred during a qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup, with Brazil against Uruguay on November 18.
The Brazilian star has also been involved in several extra-sporting affairs. Last November, the parents of his former partner Bruna Biancardi were robbed. The former Parisian was also referred to the industrial tribunal by a former domestic worker, who accused him of concealed work.
And that’s not all. Recently, Neymar initiated legal proceedings against transsexual influencer Sophia Barclay for defamation. Indeed, she has claimed since 2021 to have had intimate relations with Auriverde and surfer Pedro Scooby during a party.
Neymar filed a complaint with the São Paulo Justice Court, seeking damages of at least 18,000 euros for damage to dignity, image and reputation. Barclay admitted her mistake, saying she was forced to keep silent about the relationship under penalty of a fine of 3,700 euros. She also said she received death threats from the left winger’s fans.
