The president of Naples, Aurelio De Laurentiis, made inglorious remarks against the current coach of PSG.

Luis Enrique has just completed his first half-season in Paris. The Spanish technician has adapted rather well to the Ile-de-France team. The results are correct and his relationship with the club management is in good shape. Everything is going well for him. But there is a violent sting emanating from Italy this Friday and which he would have done well without.

De Laurentiis disappointed by Luis Enrique

In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Naples, violently attacked him and called him a mercenary. “Last summer I went to see Luis Enrique. He asked for his staff to come to Naples. He kept me in suspense for three days and asking me for a lot of money. We had almost reached an agreement but he said no because he wanted to win even more.”

The Partenopei boss also bitterly regrets having called on French coach Rudi Garcia to lead his team. The latter only stayed three months at the head of Naples at the start of the season. But, if it were up to De Laurentiis, he would not have spent more than one day with the Italian champions. The reason being that Garcia disrespected the Naples institution.

“I understood that it was a casting error as soon as it was presented. I should have made a dramatic move and said: here he is introduced, but now he is leaving. Because a person who arrives and says: “I don’t know Napoli, I haven’t seen a match”. I should have understood. »
