With the departure of Eric Bailly, Olympique de Marseille is busy finding reinforcements in central defense. Pablo Longoria looks to Brazil, on the side of the John Textor club to launch his summer transfer window.

In the process of completing the hottest file of the summer, namely their coach, OM can now focus on the transfer market. If Marseille wishes to strengthen almost all positions, the defense site seems to be very important since several names have been associated with the Marseille club in recent days. Whether it’s Romain Saïss or Leonardo Bonucci, OM probably needs a new rock. If these two names are well known to the French media landscape, according to information from Globoesporte, Marseille has taken information for Adryelson. The Botafogo defender is highly courted as the Brazilian club recently turned down an offer from Besiktas of €4m. Arrived last summer from SC Recife, Adryelson is already in the eye of European teams.

OM interested in a John Textor player

OM particularly appreciates the profile of the player who plays in a club that belongs to John Textor, owner of OL. Transactions between Lyon and Marseille are quite rare, but OM could however do business with the American boss, who has no direct relationship with OL. Adryelson plays for Botafogo which is under Eagle Football Group. The 25-year-old defender is also being tracked by Olympiakos according to UOL Sport. Marseille will therefore have a lot of competition on this issue, while the arrival of Marcelino is imminent. Pablo Longoria is really moving to improve the workforce and the Marseille staff ahead of a new season which risks being eventful for the club from Marseille. A qualification in the Champions League is targeted and OM must first strengthen themselves. Adryelson, who is under contract until December 2025 with Botafogo, could therefore be a quick first step in order to have a competitive team from July, when OM will carry out decisive preparation for the European play-offs.
