Bayern is preparing a new cycle, with major departures.

After reigning supreme over Europe and Germany for several years, Bayern Munich has hit a slump in recent seasons. Winner of the Champions League in 2020, the Bavarian club has lost some of its splendor since then.

To regain its former level, the reigning German champion wishes to restructure in depth next summer. According to the Bild newspaper, four senior players could be pushed out in order to recruit new “leaders”.

Among the players affected are Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka, two 28-year-old midfielders who have lost their influence under coach Thomas Tuchel. Their contracts expire in 2025 and 2026 respectively, and the club could therefore take the opportunity to sell them and recover some cash.

Gnabry and Davies on transfer list?

Serge Gnabry could also pack his bags. The German wisp saw Bayern sign Bryan Zaragoza for 15 million euros, and it is likely that the German club are keen to give him some playing time. The young Spanish winger could therefore play a role in the departure of the former Gunner.

Finally, Alphonso Davies could also be sacrificed. The Canadian, who is one of the best left-backs in the world, was approached by Real Madrid. His contract expires in 2025, and the leaders of the Rekordmeister could therefore sell him before it is too late.
