OM were “not good” against OL

If Éric Di Meco was excited by OM’s victory against OL on Wednesday, Christophe Dugarry highlighted the weakness of the Lyonnais.

L’Olympic Marseille finally managed to string together two victories in a row in the league by winning against Olympique Lyonnais (3-0) on Wednesday in a late match of the 10th day. In a new system, the Phocéens have finally given satisfaction to their supporters, as well as to Éric Di Meco, who thinks that Gennaro Gattuso must insist with this 3-5-2 system.

“Limited players”

But for Christophe Dugarry, the weakness of the Lyonnais is an element to take into account when analyzing this victory. For the 98 world champion, this victory is in no way a reference match for the Azuréens. “It’s not a benchmark match for OM. I didn’t find OM very good. I think this team has character and they make the effort. Gattuso believes in his team, he has ambition in terms of the game with a lot of offensive players. But I see limited players. I’m not convinced that Wednesday’s match demonstrates anything. I haven’t found a particularly winning OM. They were facing an extremely weak opponent. (…) This OM did the job but the opponent was so weak. They would have won even at 20%”explained the former Blues striker.
