The big names of the France team made the news again this week. Explanations.
It’s a little ritual that they wouldn’t miss for anything in the world. A sweet tradition, gently cultivated for more than two decades. Every year, the heroes of France 98 meet to recall their memories and share moments of brotherhood. This week, the last meeting of this promotion brought together some illustrious names in French football.
Lionel Charbonnier shared a photo on social networks to immortalize the moment. You can see almost half of the 22 world champions there.
Around a certain Zinédine Zidane were Bixente Lizarazu, Emmanuel Petit, Laurent Blanc, Christian Karembeu, Alain Boghossian, Bernard Lama, Robert Pirès, Vincent Candela, Christophe Dugarry, Frank Leboeuf, Bernard Diomède and therefore Lionel Charbonnier. Even Olivier Dacourt, who was not part of the epic but often responds to the call, or former coach Aimé Jacquet responded to the invitation.
When the Blues change sports
But it was another photograph that caused a reaction on the web. Like many footballers who have hung up their boots, certain players from the France group have devoted themselves to a new passion: padel. Thus, Robert Pirès shared an image on social networks where we can see him challenging three former teammates during a tournament: Zinédine Zidane, Christophe Dugarry and Vincent Candela. It remains to be seen who is the best in the discipline…
