Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, provoked Jamie Carragher, the former Liverpool defender, who was quick to respond.
Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has assured that his team will win the Premier League for the fourth time in a row, despite three consecutive draws. A series of results which has also sparked criticism from certain consultants, including Jamie Carragher, former Liverpool player.
The Spanish technician responded to Carragher by mocking his inability to win the championship during his career with the Mersey club. Comments which annoyed the Englishman, who responded on social networks by reminding him of the suspicions of fraud which surrounded the Citzen club. He also stressed that he had always been positive towards Guardiola’s team, especially after the draw against Tottenham (3-3) last Sunday.
I think I’d have probably won one if Liverpool were owned by a nation state, and pushed the rules so far that the PL charged us 115 times!!
I was actually praising Pep’s team after the game on Sunday 🤷♂️😂 https://t.co/EIW3B1AJve
