Arsenal’s self-sacrifice was rewarded as Ben White rushed down the right and delivered a cross for Gabriel Jesus who placed the sphere in the back of the net (2-1, 45th). Returning from the locker room, Luton Town came back with excellent arguments. From a corner, Alfie Doughty found another partner and more precisely Elijah Adebayo who equalized (2-2, 49th). Galvanized, the locals even took the advantage in the minutes that followed. Andros Townsend transmitted to Ross Barkley whose heavy strike combined with David Raya’s error gave Luton Town the advantage (3-2, 57th). A euphoria quickly cooled by Arsenal. Gabriel Jesus, once again well inspired, found Kai Havertz who managed to equalize in a crazy match (3-3, 60th). Subsequently, Arsenal pushed for the winning goal, but came across a strong Luton Town team who kept everything in check. Well, until the very last second of the match.
