It’s panic at Sheffield United. Last in the Premier League, Yorkshire players will have to quickly pick up points if they do not want to fall back into the Championship at the end of the season. To get back on a healthy footing after a catastrophic start to the season punctuated by 5 points in 14 games, the club’s leaders decided to part ways with coach Paul Heckingbottom this Tuesday.

And neither one nor two, his replacement was found this Tuesday as well. This is then a return because Chris Wilder has signed up with the Blades until 2025. As a reminder, the 56-year-old coach was already in charge of the team between 2016 and 2021. He had thus officiated during the 2020–21 Premier League season before being dismissed on March 13, 2021 due to poor results. He will surely be keen to take his revenge by trying to save his favorite club from relegation.
