While his career is on hold, the result of a positive doping test, Paul Pogba saw a former partner reveal some truths about him.

Testing positive for testosterone on September 11, Paul Pogba saw his career put on hold, the French world champion awaiting the decision of the anti-doping authorities. A new blow for the former Mancunian after a season marked by a serious knee injury which caused him to miss the World Cup in Qatar and an extortion attempt in which his brother seems to be involved.

His return to Juventus appears to be a resounding failure but his previous stint at Manchester United had not been more conclusive, between repeated injuries and complicated relationships with his coaches. Teammate of the Frenchman at the Red Devils, Nemanja Matic also pointed out behavioral problems. “Among the players who were always late were Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho, plus a few others”he confided in an interview published by YU Planet.

“At Chelsea, the players behaved like professionals, they were punctual, never late for training, whereas this happened almost every day at United,” he added, adding: “The other players, we were always on time and that annoyed us, so we decided to set up a sort of internal disciplinary committee, of which I was the president,” says Matic. I put a sheet of paper on the wall where I wrote down the names of those who arrived late. In one season, we collected 75,000 pounds in fines. (87,500 euros).”
