During a first act to the credit of the residents of the WWK Arena, the latter believed they opened the scoring before the half-hour mark through Félix Uduokhai, ultimately refused for offside (29th). Frankfurt was finally trapped by their opponent in the 35th minute of play, Martin Jensen taking advantage of a serve from Ermedin Demirovic to score his first goal of the season in the league (1-0). Insisting on taking shelter for good, Augsburg made the break after returning from the locker room thanks to a goal from Iago (2-0, 58th). If Ermedin Demirovic failed to knock out the Eagles once and for all (76th), his goalkeeper Finn Dahmen reignited the suspense two minutes later by scoring against his side (2-1, 78th). Simple fear since Augsburg gleaned the three points at the end of the game to continue their climb in the standings (9th). For its part, Frankfurt fails in its quest for 6th place and remains in 7th place.
