Real Madrid star Luka Modric will have to decide his future at club and country in 2024.
The veteran midfielder went on to sign a one-year contract extension at the start of the 2023/24 season.
However, despite rumors about his place in the first team, Modric has played a rotating role in recent weeks, leading to speculation about his next move.
The Croatia international has time ahead of him to make his choice, with Los Blancos ready to give him the freedom to decide, but indications point to a retirement or a departure for Saudi Arabia.
As well as his position at Madrid, Modric also faces the potential end of his international career after Euro 2024, with Croatia being drawn into Group B alongside Spain, Albania and Italy .
Croatia manager Zlatko Dalic was asked about Modric’s plans before and after the tournament and admitted there was a chance he could continue if he still plays at club level.
“We all know Luka. We will wait until June, see how things go and talk to him. But one thing is certain, he never gives up”according to Marca.
