After discussing the draw for Euro 2024, Olivier Giroud spoke about his future in the France team this Saturday.

L’French team is fixed on its group for Euro 2024. With theAustriaTHE The Netherlands and a play-off winner (Poland, Estonia, Wales or Finland), Didier Deschamps’ men will have to get rid of a balanced group that seems within their reach. While Didier Deschamps believes that this group will be difficult with the Netherlands in particular in pot 3, Olivier Giroud also spoke about this draw, which he considers more lenient than in 2021 (France had faced Germany, Hungary and Portugal).

“It’s going to be some great matches, we know the Netherlands very well, it’s always been played against them. It’s a very good team, a great generation. it is perhaps a more lenient draw than the last Euro. (…) It’s good to build up to a crescendo in a competition like that. (…) The Netherlands are boring to play, if it’s Poland, which for me is the strongest team in the play-offs, (in the eighth of the World Cup) before we lead the score they have a triple opportunity, if they score it’s not the same match. Austria, they have good young people and guys who play in big clubs”explained the AC Milan striker in Complete Football this Saturday.

The 2018 world champion then looked ahead to the competition and the competition in his position (Marcus Thuram, Kolo Muani) for the Euro in Germany, before discussing his future in blue. “I have always said that competition makes you progress and that it allows you to get the best out of yourself so that the team benefits. I continue to think the same thing and I am convinced that the France team is lucky to have attackers with different qualities. (…) I am available to the collective and I hope once again to play my role and supervise the youngest. I can’t wait to be there, to finish the season well with Milan to apply, to arrive in good shape. (…) If we win it, I will bow out with the French team”added the Blues scorer.
